1. General
Kangasalan Automaattivarastot Oy (hereinafter referred to as the online store or the lessor) rents small storage units to private individuals and companies in Finland.
These terms and conditions apply to all rentals made through the website.
Placing an order through the website constitutes a binding rental agreement consisting of:
* these Contract and Delivery Terms, and
* the Storage Rental Terms, which supplement these terms.
We reserve the right to change the terms of delivery, prices, and services.
2. Prices and Value Added Tax (VAT)
All prices are displayed on the website.
For consumers, prices are VAT-exempt (VAT 0%).
For companies, the applicable value added tax will be added to the prices.
The lessor has the right to change the amount of rent by notifying the tenant at least 30 days in advance.
3. Ordering and Formation of the Agreement
The desired storage unit is selected on the website and added to the shopping cart.
The rental agreement is formed when the customer either:
* pays for the booking at the online store checkout, or
* starts using the rented unit by placing items inside it.
An order confirmation is sent by email and includes the rented space, price, and rental period.
By placing an order, the customer confirms having read and accepted:
* these Contract and Delivery Terms, and
* the Storage Rental Terms (Rental Agreement FI), which define the detailed rights and obligations of the rental relationship.
4. Payment
Payment Service Providers
The online store uses the following payment service providers:
* Montonio Finance UAB
* Stripe, Inc
Payments are secure – all payment information is transmitted via an encrypted connection, and the online store does not have access to the customer’s card details.
Payment Methods
The following payment methods are available:
* Finnish online banks (OP, Nordea, Danske, Säästöpankki, S-Pankki, etc.)
* Payment cards (Visa, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Debit MasterCard)
Payment is made in advance and initiates the rental relationship.
5. Rental Period and Right of Use
The minimum rental period is one (1) month.
The rental agreement may be fixed-term or valid until further notice, in accordance with the rental terms.
The customer gains access to the rented storage unit on the agreed start date of the rental.
Access rights are granted via the Storage Smart Entry by Nokē application.
6. Cancellation, Termination, and End of Rental
Right of Cancellation Before the Start of Rental
A consumer has the right to cancel the order within 14 days of concluding the agreement, provided that the storage unit has not yet been taken into use.
Cancellations must be made in writing by email.
Termination
A rental agreement valid until further notice may be terminated at least 14 days before the end of the current rental period, as specified in the rental terms.
A fixed-term agreement ends automatically upon expiry.
At the End of the Rental Period
The tenant must empty and clean the unit and remove their lock no later than on the last day of the agreement.
If the unit is not emptied or rent remains unpaid, the lessor has the right to remove the lock and dispose of the remaining property as defined in the rental terms.
7. Insurance and Liability
The lessor has insured the property and building.
The tenant’s personal belongings are not covered by this insurance; the tenant must arrange their own adequate insurance (e.g. home insurance or business property insurance).
The lessor is not liable for damage, loss, or theft of the tenant’s belongings.
The tenant is responsible for any damage caused by their actions in the rented premises.
8. Usage Restrictions
The storage units are intended solely for storing dry goods.
It is prohibited to:
* live or stay in the units
* store organic, flammable, hazardous, or illegal substances
* conduct repair, construction, or maintenance work
The lessor has the right to remove items or substances that may cause harm or danger.
9. Complaints and Disputes
Any complaints must be made by email to aspa@nordicministorages.fi.
Consumer customers have the right to refer disputes to the Consumer Disputes Board.
Disputes between business customers are governed by Finnish law and handled by the District Court of Pirkanmaa.
